The state Department of Transportation has announced the following lane closures for the Big Island this week:
— Akoni Pule Highway: Alternating single lane closures between mile markers five and 15 near Mahukona from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for pavement resurfacing.
— Hawaii Belt Road: Alternating single lane closures between Piha Kahuku Road and Middle Road near Maulua Gulch from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for tree trimming.
— Hawaii Belt Road: Alternating single lane closures between Kaiwiki Road and Old Onomea Road from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for roadway striping.
— Kohala Mountain Road: Alternating single lane closures between mile markers two and seven near Waiaka Junction from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for pavement resurfacing.
— Volcano Road: Alternating single lane closures between Kukui Camp Road and North Lauko Road from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for installing utilities.
